Athletic Hall The City of Lanett 's recreation center offers youth football, soccer, cheerleading and basketball.Fee - $25.00 Annually - Per Family (immediate members) must live in the same household to participate in all youth sports. (All registration fees will be paid at the City Hall between 9am and 5pm.) Forms can be picked up at City Hall or the Recreation Department. Please make checks payable to City of Lanett. All players must pay their Registration Fee prior to being placed on a team and participation in practice. Insurance is not provided. No refund after program starts. Cheerleaders: Cheerleading is offered for grades 1 through 6. Cut off date for registration is September 1 and the participant age is determined by their age on August 31. Football: Football is for the 3rd through 6th Grades. Players are defined by the term True Grade, meaning, If you are in the 4th grade and you are supposed to be in the 5th grade you must play with the 5th and 6th grade. If you are supposed to be in the 7th grade then you are too old. Cut off date for registration is September 1 and the participant age is determined by their age on August 31. Flag Football: 1st and 2nd Grades. This is an instructional league and the games are played with a running clock. Games are played on Monday. Organization meeting will be Monday, August 23 at 6:00pm at the Lanett Little League Field. Soccer: 4 and 5 year old Coed 1st and 2nd Grade Coed Must furnish black gym shorts / sweat pants Games will be played on Tuesday Organization meeting will be Tuesday, August 24 at 6:00pm at the Lanett High School Baseball Field Note: Any player that signs up after the registration deadline will be put on a waiting list and placed on a team as space becomes available.
