Where do I go for Utilities?

Electric, water and gas are provided by the city. Visit City Hall at 210 North Lanier Avenue or call (334) 644-2141 with any questions. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Does high speed internet exist?

For a small city Lanett is unique because you have a choice of high speed cable connections. You may contact Knology or Charter. You may contact Knology at (706) 645-8630 and Charter at (334) 644-2121.

Where do I purchase Automobile Tags?

You have a choice of going to the Chambers County Annex in Shawmut or can go to the Courthouse in Lafayette. You may contact this office by calling (334) 864-2495.

Where do I get an accident report?

You will need to pay nominal processing fee in City Hall and then pick it up in the police department.

School Registration?

Lanett residents may contact the Lanett City School's Superintendent's office at (334) 644-5900.

When are council meetings?

These are held at 6 p.m. at City Hall the first and third Monday of each month.

How do I speak with a Police officer?

You may call (334) 644-5225 or if you need to speak with an officer in person you may go to the police department and use the phone on the wall with a sign over it. This will connect you to dispatch and they will send an officer to you.
